Life of Pi

Image

As Life of Pi starts, you will be disappointed, you will think this is a typical Indian movie of kids and elephants… as it evolves, you become drawn to the story.  It is a beautiful story of faith and survival. The visual effects and picture of the movie takes you to another dimension. At the end, you become mesmerized by how complete this picture is.

Beverly Hills Art Show

Beverly Hills Art Show Talentcall T.shirts

Our sister company, Talentcall, just announced the winners of the 2012 Beverly Hills Art Show sponsorship contest.

As part of the company’s commitment to support the arts and cultural scene in California – and around the globe, they are pleased to report yet another successful step towards connecting talents with opportunities. The sponsorship  was a great success! Not only were they able to connect with hundreds of artists, but they also introduced an innovative method of social marketing through competitions!

“Talentcall booth conceptualized the idea behind Talentcall.com; while our canvas -the back drop of our booth- represented the competitions on our site, participating artists, on the other hand, visited us to paint the hands on our canvas just as members of talentcall.com would” said the director of innovation at Talentcall, Vienna El Bizri. She added “our booth became a real demonstration of how Talentcall works as a platform of opportunities”

Dead Can Dance Lisa Gerrard

From DCD Live Concert

I visited Toronto a couple of weeks ago while DCD were touring North America. I had missed the concert in Los Angeles as it was scheduled the day I flew. I wanted to see them for their last album, Anastasis. Anyhow, I was getting ready to go for a long run when I got an email reminder that the concert is within an hour at the Sony Center for the performing Art in Toronto. At the last minute I changed my mind, bought a Ticketmaster pass, and ran to the subway. I was there at the neck of time before the opening act. The concert was amazing! As soon as Lisa Gerrard walked in with her black Gothic gown the crowd roared.. and as soon as she opened her mouth the hall fell into absolute silence. You can only hear her strong hypnotizing voice taking you from where you are  to an elevated place. You feel it on your skin; colder, darker, happier,  but your heart falls into the sadness of her voice as it has the power to physically transfer you. So many times I closed by eyes to feel her voice wrapped around me like a light blanket… She is just an amazing vocalist!

The Words…The Movie!

the words movie

I saw  The Words yesterday.  This is not a movie review by any means.. I just felt like watching a movie that could inspire me to write. These kinds of movies tend to do the trick… The idea of The Words is not new, but the way it is presented is. It makes you think; who is a real character and who is an imagination of the writer’s extreme addiction to words! Did the writer fabricate these characters or are they real? There are three layers here, three lives or three stories… its your role to figure out which one of these men is the writer … I would recommend it for the twist towards the end, even though the ending leaves you wanting more…. or probably less!
